The service

Clearcut helps you discover recurring charges from a connected bank account and provides tools and guidance to cancel subscriptions. Bank access is read-only via Plaid. Some cancellations require steps you complete yourself with the merchant; we are not a law firm and do not guarantee every merchant will cancel on request.

Accounts & eligibility

You must provide accurate information and be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Trials convert to paid plans unless you cancel before the trial ends via the Stripe customer portal in your dashboard. Fees are described on the Pricing page.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Clearcut, attempt unauthorized access, scrape in a way that harms the service, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend accounts that abuse the product or our providers (Plaid, Stripe).

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is." Recurring-charge detection may miss or mislabel transactions. We are not responsible for merchant fees, contracts, or outcomes of cancellation attempts. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before a claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date on this page.
