Clearcut ("we", "us") helps you find and cancel unwanted subscriptions. This policy explains what we collect and why. Questions: ohalloran.joseph804@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account info you provide (name, email).
- Billing info processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers).
- Read-only bank transaction data via Plaid after you connect an account (merchant names, amounts, dates, categories). We never see or store your bank password.
- Cancellation requests and tracker status you start in the app.
- Basic product analytics and server logs needed to run the service.
How we use it
- Detect recurring charges and show a basic monthly budget snapshot.
- Help you cancel subscriptions (guides, scripts, and cancel requests).
- Bill your Clearcut plan and send transactional emails.
- Secure, debug, and improve the product.
Sharing
We share data with processors that help us run Clearcut: Stripe (payments), Plaid (bank connections), Supabase (database), and Vercel (hosting). We do not sell your personal data.
Retention & deletion
We keep account and transaction-derived data while your account is active. Email us to request deletion; we will remove or anonymize personal data except where we must keep records for billing, fraud, or legal reasons.
Security
Bank connections use Plaid's read-only Link. Access tokens are stored server-side. No method is perfect; please use a strong unique password when we offer full account auth.
