How to cancel Zoom

Zoom’s billing flow: personal paid plans (Pro and similar) are cancelled by the account owner in the Zoom web portal—sign in at zoom.us, open Account Management / Billing (or Plans and Billing), choose Cancel subscription / Cancel plan, and confirm. Save the confirmation. For Education, Enterprise, or other workspace/org plans, a billing admin cancels in the admin billing settings—individual members usually cannot cancel the org subscription. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel Zoom in that store instead. Free Basic accounts have no paid subscription to cancel. Uninstalling the Zoom app does not cancel a paid plan.

Difficulty: Online — owner or admin. Policies change. This is the path that usually works, not a substitute for your contract or the merchant’s current account screens.

  1. 01Personal Zoom-billed plan: zoom.us → sign in as the account owner → Account Management / Billing → Cancel subscription or Cancel plan. Confirm and save the confirmation.
  2. 02Workspace / org plan: a billing admin opens admin billing / subscription settings and cancels there.
  3. 03Apple billed: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Zoom → Cancel Subscription.
  4. 04Google Play billed: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Zoom → Cancel.

Fees and traps

  • Owner vs admin: personal plans use the account owner; company plans need a billing admin.
  • Access to paid features usually continues until the end of the paid period—then the account typically drops to free limits.
  • Add-ons (large meetings, webinars, storage) can be separate line items—cancel each you do not want.
  • Wrong login (SSO vs email) can hide Billing—use the owner account on the invoice.
