How to cancel SiriusXM

SiriusXM’s help center is explicit: cancellation steps follow the provider on your bank statement. Direct-billed satellite and many bundled plans cancel by online chat (siriusxm.com/contactus) or by phone. Streaming (app-only) plans bought on siriusxm.com can be cancelled in the Online Account Center. If Apple, Google Play, Roku, or T-Mobile bills you, SiriusXM cannot stop that charge. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Uninstalling the app or selling the car does not cancel.

Difficulty: Online, chat, or with whoever bills you. Policies change. This is the path that usually works, not a substitute for your contract or the merchant’s current account screens.

Online

01Look at a statement. Note whether the merchant is SiriusXM, Apple, Google, Roku, or a carrier such as T-Mobile.
02Direct-billed (SiriusXM charges you): open the Online Account Center and the Subscriptions tab, or start chat at siriusxm.com/contactus. SiriusXM’s customer agreement also lists phone cancel for audio/infotainment at 1-866-635-2349 (hours commonly Monday–Friday; check Contact Us for current hours).
03Streaming (app-only) bought on siriusxm.com: sign in at siriusxm.com/myaccount and follow the cancellation instructions there.
04Apple billed: iPhone or iPad Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SiriusXM → Cancel Subscription. Cancel more than 24 hours before renewal.
05Google Play billed: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SiriusXM → Cancel.
06Roku billed: cancel at my.roku.com (Manage subscriptions). You cannot finish a Roku cancel inside the SiriusXM app.
07T-Mobile billed add-on: remove SiriusXM in T-Mobile account / Manage add-ons. If T-Mobile is only your carrier and SiriusXM bills you directly, cancel with SiriusXM instead.
08Ask for written confirmation or a confirmation number. Screenshot the cancelled status.

Fees and traps

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date or the next period can still bill.
Paid plans are commonly non-refundable except as SiriusXM’s customer agreement allows. Do not count on a prorated refund.
A trial that came with a car can convert to a paid plan if you do not cancel in the window in your agreement.
Podcasts+ bought through Apple Podcasts or Supporting Cast is a separate subscription from satellite radio.

FAQ

Can I cancel SiriusXM in the app?

Not as a complete cancel for most plans. Streaming-only bought on the website uses the account site. Store-billed plans cancel in Apple, Google, or Roku settings. Satellite usually needs chat or phone.

I sold my car. Did that cancel SiriusXM?

No. SiriusXM says uninstalling the app, selling the vehicle, or not using the service does not cancel. You still have to cancel the subscription.

What if I do not know who bills me?

Check the merchant name on the card or bank line. SiriusXM’s manage-or-cancel help page is built around that split.
