How to cancel Notion

Notion’s help: if Notion bills the workspace, a workspace owner (or admin with billing permission) opens Settings → Settings & members → Billing, chooses the plan controls, then Cancel plan / Downgrade and confirms. Save the confirmation. Members without billing permission cannot cancel. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store instead. Deleting the Notion app does not cancel. After cancel, workspaces typically fall back to the Free plan when the paid period ends—check Notion’s screens for feature and block limits.

Difficulty: Online. Policies change. This is the path that usually works, not a substitute for your contract or the merchant’s current account screens.

Fees and traps

  • Only billing-capable owners/admins see Cancel plan.
  • Guest vs member vs owner roles do not all control billing.
  • Paid feature limits (blocks, file size, etc.) change after downgrade—export anything critical first if you are near limits.
  • Access to paid features usually continues until the end of the paid term. Check the confirmation screen.
