How to cancel LinkedIn Premium

LinkedIn’s help: you can request to cancel a Premium subscription, promotion, or trial anytime. A paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing cycle. A free trial ends immediately when you cancel it. Cancel at least one day before the next scheduled billing date. Direct purchases cancel in LinkedIn. Apple App Store and Google Play purchases follow those stores. Recruiter, Sales Navigator, Learning for Teams, and Premium Company Page are different products with their own cancel articles.

Difficulty: Online. Policies change. This is the path that usually works, not a substitute for your contract or the merchant’s current account screens.

What does not work

  • Closing your LinkedIn account without cancelling Premium first (LinkedIn says cancel the subscription first)
  • Deleting the LinkedIn app
  • Asking LinkedIn Support to refund or manage an Apple App Store charge (Apple handles those)
  • Cancelling Premium Career and assuming Sales Navigator or a Company Page plan also stops

Online

  1. 01See who billed you: LinkedIn, Apple, or Google. LinkedIn’s cancel article splits those three.
  2. 02Direct from LinkedIn: on desktop, Me icon → Premium features. Open Subscription details / Manage subscription (wording varies as LinkedIn redesigns My Premium). Choose Cancel subscription and finish the prompts. LinkedIn also links a direct cancellation page from help.linkedin.com (search “Cancel LinkedIn Premium subscription”).
  3. 03Apple billed: on an Apple device, LinkedIn app → profile photo → Premium features → Manage your subscription → Cancel subscription, or use iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. LinkedIn notes that if you bought Premium on iOS using mobile web, LinkedIn processes payment and you cancel on desktop, not in the iOS app.
  4. 04Google Play billed: LinkedIn desktop Me → Premium features → Subscription details, then Admin Center Purchases → the active subscription → Cancel subscription → Confirm, or cancel in Google Play subscriptions.
  5. 05Confirm the plan shows as cancelled and that the next charge date is gone. Keep the confirmation.

Fees and traps

  • Cancel at least one day before the billing date or LinkedIn can charge the next cycle.
  • Paid time is generally not refunded when you cancel mid-cycle; you keep Premium until that cycle ends. Confirm on LinkedIn’s refund policy if you just started a trial.
  • Sales Navigator, Recruiter, LinkedIn Learning for Teams, and Premium Company Page need their own cancel flows.

FAQ

Do I keep Premium until the period ends?

Yes for a paid subscription. A cancelled free trial ends immediately.

Can I cancel on my phone?

Often yes in the LinkedIn app for LinkedIn-billed and some store-billed plans. If the button is missing, use desktop or the store that bills you.

Will I lose my LinkedIn profile?

No. You return to a Basic (free) account. InMail leftover credits and Premium-only features go away when access ends.

After you cancel this one

LinkedIn Premium is one charge. The quiet ones are still on the card.

Clearcut cannot cancel every merchant for you. We can put this cancel on a tracker, and after you connect a bank, surface the other recurring charges so you are not doing this ten more times. 7-day trial. Cancel during the trial is included.
