How to cancel Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN+

Disney, Hulu, and ESPN+ share a messy billing map. If Disney+ bills you, sign in to your Disney+ account, open Subscription (or similar billing controls), and Cancel. If Hulu bills you, use Hulu Account → Cancel. ESPN+ often rides the same Disney account stack when sold together—follow the subscription screen for the product you pay for. If Apple, Amazon, Roku, or a cable/wireless provider is the merchant on your statement, cancel with that partner; Disney/Hulu cannot stop that charge. Bundle watchout: cancelling a Disney Bundle may leave a prior standalone Hulu, Disney+, or ESPN+ subscription active—cancel each separately if both exist. Pause is not cancel.

Difficulty: Online — cancel with whoever bills you. Policies change. This is the path that usually works, not a substitute for your contract or the merchant’s current account screens.

What does not work

  • Deleting the Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN app
  • Cancelling on disneyplus.com or hulu.com when Apple, Amazon, Roku, or cable is the one charging you
  • Assuming one bundle cancel clears an older standalone subscription you never moved
  • Pausing and assuming the membership is cancelled

Online

  1. 01Check the bank/statement merchant: Disney, Hulu, ESPN, Apple, Amazon, Roku, or a cable/wireless brand.
  2. 02Disney+-billed: sign in at disneyplus.com → Account → Subscription → Cancel (or the Cancel control on that subscription screen). Confirm and save the confirmation.
  3. 03Hulu-billed: sign in at hulu.com → Account → Cancel and finish the confirmation screens.
  4. 04ESPN+ sold through the Disney account: open the Disney account subscription controls for ESPN+ and cancel there.
  5. 05Apple billed: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → the Disney/Hulu/ESPN product → Cancel Subscription.
  6. 06Amazon, Roku, or cable/wireless: cancel the channel or add-on in that partner’s subscription settings.
  7. 07If you ever had a standalone plan and later added a bundle (or the reverse), open each account and cancel leftovers separately.

Fees and traps

  • Bundle vs standalone: cancelling the bundle does not always remove a prior standalone sub that stayed active. Check Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ accounts individually.
  • Pause (where offered) is not cancel.
  • Access usually continues until the end of the paid period. Check the confirmation screen for the end date—do not invent fees.
  • Who can cancel: the account holder / purchaser. Shared logins do not transfer billing control.

FAQ

I have the Disney Bundle. Where do I cancel?

Wherever you signed up and get billed—Disney account, Hulu account, Apple, Amazon, Roku, or cable. Use the merchant on the statement.

I cancelled the bundle but still got charged.

A leftover standalone Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN+ sub may still be active. Cancel each product you still see under Subscriptions / Account.

Is pause the same as cancel?

No. Pause keeps the membership in a held state. Cancel ends renewal.

After you cancel this one

Disney+ / Hulu / ESPN is one charge. The quiet ones are still on the card.
