How to cancel ChatGPT Plus

OpenAI’s account flow: sign in at chatgpt.com or platform.openai.com, open Settings → Subscription (or My plan / Manage subscription), then Cancel and confirm. Save the confirmation. ChatGPT Team / workspace plans are cancelled by an admin in workspace billing—not by every member. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, cancel in iOS Settings → Subscriptions. API prepaid credit or pay-as-you-go usage on platform.openai.com is separate from ChatGPT Plus; cancelling Plus does not close API billing and cancelling API billing does not cancel Plus.

Difficulty: Online. Policies change. This is the path that usually works, not a substitute for your contract or the merchant’s current account screens.

Fees and traps

Plus vs API: different products and invoices. Check which one matches the bank charge.
Access to Plus features usually continues until the end of the paid month. Check the confirmation screen for the end date.
Workspace seats: removing yourself from a team may not cancel the workspace’s subscription.
Wrong login (Google vs email vs Apple) can hide the Subscription page—use the account that purchased Plus.
