How to cancel Adobe Creative Cloud

If you bought Creative Cloud from Adobe, you cancel in your Adobe account: sign in, manage the plan, then cancel and confirm. Adobe’s own help (updated 2026) says you cannot cancel while a payment is processing—wait about 24 hours. If you bought through Apple, Google, Microsoft, or another store, Adobe cannot cancel that billing. Cancel with the store that charges you. Each Adobe plan has to be cancelled separately.

Difficulty: Online, with possible early-cancel fee. Policies change. This is the path that usually works, not a substitute for your contract or the merchant’s current account screens.

What does not work

  • Deleting Creative Cloud or Photoshop from your computer
  • Signing out of the Adobe app
  • Asking Adobe to cancel an Apple, Google, or Microsoft billed plan
  • Cancelling one plan and assuming every other Adobe plan stops

Online

  1. 01Confirm who bills you. Open a recent charge: Adobe vs Apple / Google / Microsoft.
  2. 02If Adobe bills you, sign in at account.adobe.com (Adobe account → Plans).
  3. 03Select Manage plan for the Creative Cloud plan you want to cancel, then Cancel your plan.
  4. 04Review the plan details, pick a cancellation reason, and continue past any plan-change or discount offers if you still want out.
  5. 05Read the cancellation details Adobe shows, including any fee or refund, then Confirm cancellation.
  6. 06Check email for Adobe’s confirmation, and reload Plans to make sure that plan is cancelled. Repeat for any other Adobe plans you still pay for.
  7. 07If Apple, Google, or Microsoft bills you, cancel in that account’s subscriptions list instead. Adobe’s 14-day and early-termination rules may not apply; the store’s terms do.

Fees and traps

  • Adobe’s published individual-plan terms commonly: a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of the initial purchase. After 14 days, month-to-month with no annual commitment usually just ends at the current billing period with no extra termination fee. Annual billed monthly commonly shows a cancellation fee of 50% of the remaining contract. Annual prepaid commonly is non-refundable after 14 days, with access through the prepaid term. Check the number on your cancel screen—do not assume a blog’s example fee.
  • You cannot cancel while Adobe is processing a payment or if there is a payment problem. Wait about 24 hours and try again.
  • After cancel, paid apps convert to a Creative Cloud free membership. Cloud storage and file access change; export anything you need first.
